Unshare Files & Folders in Google Drive
Revoking Permissionsby jasmine malia
When to Revoke Permissions
You should remove someone from a shared Google Drive folder if they no longer need access to the files within it, such as if they left the company, project, or team that the folder is related to; however, make sure to consider if they need access to any files within the folder before removing them as this will immediately revoke their ability to view, edit, or download any files within that folder.

Keep a Clean House
Routinely check on your shared files and folder for people who no longer need access on projects that have been completed.
